these horn glasses belong to the first productions of sunglasses with temples with buttonhole that
bear the doge’s emblem.
The essential and timeless lines of this design masterpiece have been faithfully reproduced and
although they are glasses without nose pads they are very practical and comfortable to wear thanks
to the lightness of the natural horn.
In the history of eyewear they are also called Goldoni glasses due to their Venetian origin and the
legend that Carlo Goldoni, author of the Italian commedia dell arte, also wore them. In his comedy
of masks also appears in “Arlecchino servant of two masters” the character of Tartaglia from the
